UTA to present 2025 budget proposal during public meeting on Oct 10

WHAT: The Utah Transit Authority will share its proposed 2025 budget and hear public comment during its annual budget hearing on Thursday, Oct. 10, with both in-person and virtual attendance options.

The UTA 2025 budget proposal of $461.9 million in operating expenses and $330.2 million in capital investment funds operations and expansion of safe, convenient and reliable public transportation services in 77 Utah cities. The proposed budget supports the ongoing maintenance of infrastructure and aligns with a 30-year Long-Range Transit Plan developed with collaboration between UTA, the Utah Department of Transportation, regional planning partners and the people UTA serves. UTA is publicly funded through fares and local, state, and federal tax and grant sources and is governed by a full-time Board of Trustees.
