Our next line is named.
Welcome OGX to the UTA family!
Our bus rapid transit (BRT) in connecting Ogden FrontRunner Station through downtown Ogden to Weber State University was named yesterday. OGX stands for Ogden Express, keeping in line with the naming convention of our first BRT - UVX (Utah Valley Express).
Like UVX, OGX will have bus-aligned stations, run a fixed route, and run at high-frequency — every 10-15 minutes on weekdays and 15-30 minutes on weekends.
This is celebratory moment for a project that has been 22-years in the making. Many people and organizations have made this moment possible and continue to work hard as the construction project continues through summer 2023.
This project will come online in two phases. The portion of OGX that will serve the Weber State campus will be in service the summer of 2022 and the summer of 2023 the rest of the OGX route will be ready to welcome riders.
If you’d like to stay update to on this project, we encourage to sign up for weekly emails or follow us on Facebook at UTA Ogden Bus Rapid Transit.
