Sugar House Park 1135 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City
Sugar House Park is one of Salt Lake Valley’s most popular regional parks. The space offers stunning views of the mountains and many public facilities including a basketball court, soccer and baseball fields, an amphitheater, two playgrounds, seven volleyball courts and a sleigh hill. Sugar House Park can be reached via Routes 21, 205 and 220.
Murray Park 296 E. Murray Park Avenue, Murray
Centrally located in the Salt Lake Valley, Murray Park can be accessed from the Route 200 at approximately 5100 South State Street. This huge park sports an arboretum, an outdoor aquatic center, soccer and softball fields, gazebos, pavilions for rent, and an amphitheater as well as many jogging and walking paths.
Millrace Park 1150 West, 5400 South, Taylorsville
This 23-acre park can be found along Route 54. Millrace Park offers a large fishing pond, baseball diamonds, children’s playground, pavilions, football fields and a large dog park. The park is also located adjacent to the Jordan River Parkway and provides scenic views of the Jordan River.
Veteran’s Memorial Park 1985 West 7800 South, West Jordan
Visitors wishing to take transit to this large park can use the TRAX Red line, Routes 217 and 218 or the F578. The park is located behind West Jordan City Hall at approximately 8000 South Redwood Road, which is across the street from the West Jordan City Center TRAX Station. Veteran’s Memorial Park has one of the most striking playgrounds in the area featuring huge wooden structures as well as more traditional play equipment. The park also has 10 baseball fields, picnic areas, two pavilions, tennis courts, the Gene Fullmer Recreation Center, the West Jordan Senior Center and a rodeo arena, which also serves as home of the Western Stampede.
