Project Description:
The Utah Transit Authority is rehabilitating 19 existing traction power substations (TPSS) on UTA’s TRAX system by replacing existing electrical equipment with modern versions. The scope of work also includes installing new supervisory control and data acquisition systems, converting pole-mounted disconnect switches to pad-mounted, and replacing feeder cables.

Construction Activities:
Day work with minimal night work that includes: trucks, excavators, concrete mixers, cable pullers, and equipment.

What to Expect:
Construction will be completed while the substations continue to power multiple TRAX lines without operational or rider impacts.
