UTA partners, employees and riders made 2022 a remarkable year of integrating transit into people’s lives throughout the Wasatch Front.


Here are our top ten highlights from 2022!

1. We hosted our first-ever month of no fares required — Free Fare February!




2. We completed two TIGER grant projects with partners, increasing multi-modal access to transit in Lehi (pedestrian bridge) and Salt Lake City (Folsom Trail).


3. We participated in our first-ever Utah Pride Parade!


4. We opened TRAX 600 South Station made possible by public-private collaboration.



5. We opened FrontRunner Vineyard Station becoming an anchor for future developments.


6. We began the operation of the first portion of OGX — the Wildcat Shuttle on the Weber University campus. 


7. With partners, we offered transit passes to over 25,000 Salt Lake School students and staff.

 

8. We launched a new bus route connecting the Rose Park neighborhood to the University of Utah campus — Route 1.

 


9. Our Community Engagement Team hosted a quarterly webinar sharing experiences of different communities we serve — Re-Imagine Transit.

 


10. Our Talent Acquisition Team led our biggest hiring year on record — 543 hires!
