2020 Farmers Markets are (Mostly) Open for Business
Farmers markets are a sustainable, environmentally friendly way to shop local and eat healthy. By adding transit to your trip, you can more fully experience those benefits. There are several farmers markets across the state of Utah where organic farms, small businesses, and local restaurants come together to sell their products. UTA loves connecting the community to the resources and opportunities around them – we encourage you to take transit on these outings, when possible.
Effects from the COVID-19 pandemic have been destructive for several small businesses, and some annual farmers markets have been postponed for the 2020 season. However, most are still operational! There are updated safety requirements in place, like social distancing and mask requirements. If you do not have access to a mask, they are available at no cost to you at UTA Customer Service locations and on our buses. If you do decide to visit one of the operational markets, stayed informed about specific requirements before attending. These requirements are accessible in the descriptions below.
To celebrate the summer season, the following is a list of operational farmers markets that are open for business! Dates, times, and transit options are included with each market. Starred markets participate in the Double Up Food Bucks program - use your SNAP EBT benefits to maximize your access to fresh, local food.
