SALT LAKE CITY (August 12, 2025) — The Utah Transit Authority will implement multiple service updates on Sunday, Aug. 17. These updates, part of August 2025 Change Day, include route realignments, schedule adjustments and updates to detours — both new and concluding. UTA will also complete its summer construction on the TRAX Red Line as planned and reopen service between Courthouse Station and University Medical Center Station.
Notable bus route changes coming to Salt Lake and Davis counties include:
- Route 35 will return to its previous alignment, using the dedicated center-lane station at 3500 South 3600 West. Roadside stops at 3600 West, 3450 West, and 3200 West along 3500 South will no longer be served by this bus.
- Routes 39, 47 and 217 will now serve the new transit hub at the Salt Lake Community College Taylorsville Campus. Service to the former SLCC transit hub will be discontinued.
- Routes 47 and 126 are ending their long-term detours but still have route adjustments.
- Routes 205 and 223 will begin long-term route detours due to ongoing construction. Please check updated maps if traveling near 600 North or Millcreek.
- Route 470 will end its Sunday service to Lagoon for the season but will continue to run Monday through Saturday.

UTA implements new and adjusted services three times each year on a Change Day in April, August and December. UTA Change Days are key components of UTA’s Five-Year Service Plan that highlights the organization’s efforts to improve quality of life in the region by increasing overall access to transit and restoring service in areas where it was previously reduced. The service updates in this plan are based on systemwide analysis, community requests and feedback, operational and cost concerns, and other factors.
