June is Pride Month, a celebration throughout the United States in which we celebrate diversity and honor the many people who have fought to establish and maintain rights for LGBTQIA+ individuals.
In a powerful display of community support and commitment to equity, UTA has partnered with the Pride Center to support the Utah Pride Festival, offering Ticket As Fare June 2-4. Riders simply need to show their ticket to their operator to ride free to and from the event. UTA will also be participating with an electric bus parade entry on Sunday, June 4, contributing to the Pride Center's vision of a zero-emissions event.
If you're among the 60,000 people who attend the Pride Parade and Festival each year, keep an eye out for the UTA bus and our enthusiastic employees marching alongside it. We will also have a booth at the festival where you can learn more about working for UTA, incorporating UTA into your daily commute, and becoming part of our vibrant UTA community.
Outside of the Pride Festival, there are a number of Pride events across the Wasatch Front, many of which are accessible via transit. We’ve highlighted a few of these events below with info about how to travel with UTA to celebrate Pride throughout June.
