What You Need To Know

From Sunday, May 24, to Saturday, June 20, crews will perform maintenance and repairs on the TRAX Red, Blue, and Green lines near Ballpark Station. This work will impact service on all 3 lines through the following segments:

  • Blue Line and Red Line: Ballpark Station to Meadowbrook Station
  • Green Line: Ballpark Station to River Trail Station
  • Two bus bridges will be in place to connect riders around the construction zone. Expect delays of 30 minutes or more while using bus bridge service.
  • To plan an alternate route, use the Transit app.

Map

Regular TRAX service on all 3 lines will resume Sunday, June 21.

What To Expect

  • Service on the Red, Blue, and Green lines will be disrupted between Ballpark and Meadowbrook (Red and Blue) and Ballpark and River Trail (Green) for the duration of the project.
  • The S-Line will remain operational from Central Pointe Station. Allow extra time to navigate to and from the station through the construction area.
  • The parking lot at Central Pointe Station will be temporarily closed to UTA riders to allow bus bridge operations to run more smoothly.
  • 2100 South will have a full lane closure for 3 days from May 29–31. Drivers should plan alternate routes.
  • Between Ballpark and Salt Lake Central, the Blue Line will use low-floor trains and the high blocks will be closed. From Meadowbrook Station south to the end of the line, the Blue Line high blocks will be open as usual.
  • Nearby residents and businesses may experience noise, lighting, dust, and vibration due to construction activity.

Why This Is Happening

These improvements are part of ongoing efforts to keep the TRAX system safe, reliable, and running efficiently. Regular maintenance minimizes future construction impacts and improves service quality for all riders.
