Annual ADA Celebration
Each year UTA and the Committee for Accessible Transportation (CAT) celebrate the progress that has been made in transit accessibility since the signing of the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).
With the invaluable assistance of CAT, UTA works diligently and comprehensively to ensure it provides accessible and inclusive transportation services and facilities. This celebratory event is not only a way to highlight the progress to date, but a way to inspire people to continue the work in an on-going effort.
In the year 2020 we will celebrate 30 years since the signing of the ADA! Join UTA and community partners for a joint celebration on Monday, July 27th. Check back for more details as the date nears. During the celebration the "I Am UTA" award will be presented to UTA employees who have shown excellent customer service to persons riding with disabilities and the "I Ride UTA" award will be presented to those riders with a disability who use UTA services. We encourage the public to send nominations for the awards and join UTA and the CAT committee for the celebration. The event is open to Salt Lake City and surrounding communities.
