What's a Vanpool?
UTA leases vans to people like you who travel to and from similar locations. Most vanpools have seven to 15 passengers and they split the cost evenly. The more riders you have, the more you save! Vanpools help you make your commute time productive and improve air quality, too.
Vanpool costs depend on the number of passengers in your vanpool and distance traveled. Vanpool costs include fuel, maintenance, insurance and leasing the vehicle. The average cost per person is $99 a month and can be as low as $30 a month.

Employers can support vanpoolers by sponsoring the vanpool or by creating a pre-tax transit benefit, similar to a Health Savings Account. The IRS allows vanpoolers to deduct up to $255 a month with this pre-tax transit benefit.
