SALT LAKE CITY (August 12, 2026) — The Utah Transit Authority will launch expanded UTA On Demand service in northern Utah County on Sunday, August 16, as part of Fall Change Day 2026. Additionally, the popular Ogden Express bus rapid transit route will remain Zero Fare into 2028 thanks to federal operating assistance secured through a partnership between Ogden City, the Wasatch Front Regional Council, and UTA. Other changes include route realignments and schedule adjustments to improve service and efficiency.

UTA On Demand service will begin in portions of Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Highland, Cedar Hills and Alpine. Service is sponsored by Utah County and the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). The new North Utah County zone covers an area of 77 square miles and includes several key destinations, including Lehi FrontRunner Station, American Fork FrontRunner Station, Primary Children's Hospital - Lehi, Saratoga Springs Emergency, Eagle Mountain Senior Center, Lehi Junior High, Vista Heights Middle School, Lake Mountain Middle School, Willowcreek Middle School and American Fork Junior High. UTA On Demand is UTA's curb-to-curb microtransit service, providing flexible, on-demand transportation within designated service zones across the Wasatch Front. Designed to improve first- and last-mile connections, the service links riders to TRAX, FrontRunner, bus routes and other key destinations within each zone, making it easier to access jobs, schools, healthcare, shopping and other neighborhood amenities. Additional changes being implemented on Fall Change Day include:

• Route 54: Intermediate detour using the north entrance of Murray Central Station will become permanent.
• Route 205: Returning to regular route on 600 North and 700 North.
• Route 470: Extended to Salt Lake Central for additional service and better connections.
• Route 472: Route extended to 17th Street/Wall Avenue for additional service and better connections.
• Odgen Express (OGX) will continue to be Zero Fare until Spring Change Day 2028.
