We’re testing our first FAREPAY vending machine at the Salt Lake City International Airport. You can use the machine to purchase a reloadable $13 FAREPAY card, which includes a $10 fare value and a $3 one-time card fee. The machine also vends one-way, reduced one-way or day pass tickets. It is located next to the regular ticket vending machines at the east end of Terminal 1.

The machine is part of a 90-day pilot program. If the vending machine proves successful and reliable, similar models may be added to other stations on the UTA system.

UTA’s FAREPAY cards allow riders to pay for fare simply by tapping on and off at card readers. Cards are reloadable, and riders can register their cards online to secure them against loss and theft. FAREPAY cards can also be purchased here at UTA customer service centers and at select retailers. Through the end of the year, riders who pay with FAREPAY receive 40 percent off local bus fare, 20 percent off TRAX fare and up to 20 percent off FrontRunner fare.
