Headed to high school boys’ basketball playoffs at the University of Utah Jon M. Huntsman Center next week? You can ride UTA using your basketball ticket as fare. The promotion is valid all day on game days, on both UTA buses and trains.

Tips for new riders

*Board the TRAX Red Line headed to Medical Center Station. You can see a TRAX map and schedule here. Please note that free parking is very limited between 900 South and Medical Center stations. If you’re driving downtown to board TRAX, you may want to take advantage of available parking for UTA patrons at Ballpark, Meadowbrook or Murray TRAX stations. Limited free parking is also available at Central Pointe, Millcreek and Salt Lake Central stations, but these lots fill quickly. You can find a list of station addresses here.

*There is no need to purchase UTA fare if you're riding on game day with a basketball game ticket. Simply present your basketball ticket to officers if checked for fare. Riders age five and under are always free on UTA.

*Exit at University South Campus Station. The Jon M. Huntsman Center is just northeast of the station. More information about the basketball playoffs and transportation options is available here
