Making plans for a long UEA weekend? Many school-age children have Thursday, Oct. 20, and Friday, Oct. 21, off for the annual Utah Education Association convention. If you’re wondering how to entertain your kids, consider riding UTA to Lagoon. It’s Frightmares season, and Lagoon is open this week Thursday through Sunday with scary thrills for all ages. Next weekend, Lagoon will resume its regular Friday-Sunday fall schedule.

There are several convenient ways to access Lagoon via UTA. You can ride FrontRunner to Farmington Station and then transfer to route 667. Consider purchasing UTA’s Group Pass, which allows up to four people to make a round trip for just $15. Children five and under ride free. There is also limited free UTA parking available for route 667 patrons at Farmington Station.

The route 667 shuttle requires no fare payment. In August, service on route 667 was increased using Prop 1 funds. It now runs year-round on weekdays and Saturdays. To facilitate travel on UEA weekend, route 667 will provide an extra late trip on Thursday, Oct. 20, Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22, with a last pickup at Lagoon at 12:20 a.m.

If you’re traveling to Lagoon on Sunday, consider riding route 470. The route serves Lagoon and provides a convenient connection from downtown Salt Lake City and Davis and Weber counties. Please note that FrontRunner does not operate on Sundays.
